Skin Care Guide
Using this guide can help you with daily skin maintance allong with professional skin care.

If you are 20+
Your Skin
Your skin will generally be low maintenance, it is at its peak vitality with good texture, with minimal acne breakouts, combination or oily skin.

Skin Care
Protect with a sun block of 15+SPF either in your makeup, moisturizer or an added step daily.
Am & PM use a gentle cleanser, toner and light moisturizer (containing antioxidants) that is appropriate for your skin type. See an Aesthetician to determine your exact skin type.
For any acne breakouts, consult your aesthetician for the proper products for your particular skin, to avoid future damage created by using the wrong products or strength product for your skin.

Prevention
It is time to think ahead. The best way to keep your skin beautiful is to prevent free radical damage & premature aging. These occur, from exposure to the sun/UV radiation, air pollution, smoking, alcohol, and inflammation, poor nutrition. There is no cure for wrinkle so work on preventing them now. If you don’t you will be wishing you had as you get older.

Nutrition
Omega-3’s, found in flax, walnuts, and wild salmon) help to keep skin clear by balancing oil production. Vitamins A & B6 are also important. Avoid foods containing hormones (meats & dairy products), as hormones can make acne worse.

Products
Protect your body & face with appropriate SPF 15+ for each.

If you are 30+
Your Skin
Your skin may be starting to look dull & uneven as your dead skin cells will start to turn over slower than when you were in your 20’s. You may notice brown splotches due to hormone fluctuations from pregnancy or birth control pills or sunspots. You may also experience acne breakouts due to stress.

Skin Care
Continue your AM & PM Cleanse, tone & moisturize and use sunscreen daily. To improve your skin tone by speeding the dead skin turnover, use a gentle exfoliant like glycolic acid or an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). You can get these ingredients in your basic products. Monthly professional peels are recommended with appropriate in home weekly treatments recommended by your Aesthetician.
To thicken and strengthen your skin try a product with retinal palmitate vitamin –A derivative a collagen booster), and rosemary extract to aid the building of the skins upper layer).
